Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS) on propagating community gardens across the Treasure Valley

Erin Guerricabeitia, executive director of Boise Urban Garden School, also known as “BUGS”, speaks to us about the Urban Garden School and why it’s not just for kids anymore. BUGS, with guidance from garden coordinator Mike Wallace, is hard at work on a plan to propagate community gardens throughout Treasure Valley. The Adult Education Series on Community Gardening “Row by Row”, offered through BUGS, begins in May. At the end of this education and armed with Mike Wallace’s “Complete Handbook for Community Gardening” each graduate will have the opportunity to create and foster their own successful community garden.
