Arlie Sommer grew up on an organic herb farm in Middleton, Idaho called Purple Sage Farm. When she isn’t selling her families organic herbs and Kombucha at the farmer’s market she is on the road bringing local Idaho food to the Treasure Valley. As the Treasure Valley manager of Idaho’s Bounty, Arlie facilitates distribution of locally grown food from our farmers to your table.
Idaho’s Bounty distributes organic meats, vegetables, dairy, grains and other specialty items from over 60 local producers. These local foods are available for purchase via the online co-op at www.idahosbounty.org and can be picked up weekly at Idaho’s Bounty warehouse off Chinden in Boise. For the household consumer, this experience is similar to receiving a weekly food bag from your local farmer’s CSA except the purchase is not limited to produce and you, the consumer, gets to choose what you want weekly, or as needed, from the seasonal selection.
Idaho’s bounty also delivers to local stores and restaurants providing the much-needed link between local producers and their hungry market.
